This platform arises from the response to a public consultation made within the scope of the research and development project WoodMarkets - Transformación digital al servicio de la industria de la madera (https://woodmarkets-sudoe.com/), concerning the interest shown by companies in the development of a "Service for the creation and maintenance of databases for the aggregation of wood species, wood products, and preservative products; and the development of platforms for the structural and durability dimensioning of wood products", to which the companies Pedrosa & Irmãos Lda (https://www. pedrosairmaos.com/), Valbopan-fibras de Madeira, S.A.
